Domain Ownership Questions

How do I renew my domain?

You can renew your domain you registered at, or transferred to Morris Creek for up to 10 years.

Log on to our website at morriscreek.com, and click the "Manage Domain" link. Enter the username and password you chose at the time of registration. If you have forgotten the username and password you chose, you may enter the email address you entered at the time of registration to have your username and password emailed to you.

You will see links to all of the actions that you can perform. Click the "Renew Your Domains" link and check the box next to each domain you wish to renew. Click the Continue button. Choose the length of time you wish to renew each domain for. (Remember, you can renew for up to 10 years, so if your domain will expire in 3 + years, you will only be able to renew 6 additional years.) Click the Continue button.

You will then be asked about your payment information. Click the Continue button to finalize the renewal. Note. If you do NOT wish to renew your domain names, use the "Disable Renewal Notices" link in the manager. You will not receive further reminders to renew your names, and they will be released on the expiration date at midnight US Central Time.

How can I quickly renew my domain even if I lost my username and/or password?

If you just need to quickly renew a domain, you may use our quick domain renewal system. It won't give you access to your account, but it allows you to quickly renew to keep a domain from expiring.

How can I renew a domain which expired and is now in redemption status?

When a .COM or .NET domain expires, it is "released" to the registry (VeriSign) and enters "Redemption" status, which lasts 30 days. You can still renew your domain for 1 year during "Redemption" but VeriSign's redemption registry fee is $100.00 per domain. In our opinion this fee is very high but we have no say in the matter. We make no profit on this. Therefore the total cost is $115.00, made up of Verisign's $100.00, plus our normal $15.00 renewal fee. If you want to renew your domain which is currently in "Redemption" status, first login to your account . You will need your UserName and Password. After login, go to the "Manage Your Domain" section, click the "Restore Your Deleted Domains" link, and follow the online instructions.

Will you remind me to renew my domain before it expires?

Yes. Starting about 2 months before expiry we will periodically send you about 5 reminders by email so you will have ample opportunity to renew your domain name before expiry.

IMPORTANT: Unlike some other registrars, we do not hold on to domains once they expire. Domains not renewed are released on their expiry date at midnight US Central Time.

If I forget to renew my domain before it expires, is there a "grace" period during which I can still renew it?

No. Unlike some other registrars, we do not hold on to domains once they expire. Any domains not renewed are released on their expiry date at midnight US Central Time.
However, we do provide an extensive renewal reminder service by which you receive about 5 reminders by email during the 2 months prior to your domain name's expiry date. You will automatically receive these reminders unless you choose not to.

Can I have my domains auto renewed?

Yes. Domains that are about to expire and have the "Auto Renew" option checked, will be automatically renewed for a period of 1 year. A renewal notification will be emailed to the address in your account. Renewals are billed to the credit card securely registered in our file. If the credit card information is invalid or has been declined, you will receive an email with an opportunity to update the payment information.

How can I be sure to receive your email?

Increasingly, ISPs are using filtering systems to try and keep spam out of customers' in-boxes. Sometimes, they accidentally filter the e-mail that you want to receive.
To make sure that DomainsNow4U reminders and support e-mails are not filtered into your "junk" or "bulk" folder, please add Morris Creek to your list of trusted senders. Here's how:
Hotmail: Place the domains morriscreek.com and golem.itsyourdomain.com in your safe list. The safe list can be accessed via the "Options" link next to the main menu tabs.
AOL: Place the domains morriscreek.com, silcoon.itsyourdomain.com and golem.itsyourdomain.com in your address book.
Yahoo! Mail: If one of our messages is filtered to your 'bulk' folder, open the message and click on the "this is not Spam" link next to the "From" field.
Other providers: If an email from us is being filtered, try adding our domains morriscreek.com, silcoon.itsyourdomain.com and golem.itsyourdomain.com or our 'From' or 'Reply-to' address to your address book or contact list. If this option is not available, try moving the message to your 'inbox' or forwarding the message to yourself.
If subsequent messages continue to be filtered, call or e-mail your ISP's technical support and specifically ask how you can be sure to receive all e-mail from morriscreek.com and golem.itsyourdomain.com.

Follow their instructions for white listing all of the following:
*@domainsnow4u.com *@silcoon.itsyourdomain.com *@golem.itsyourdomain.com support@iyd.com <mailto:support@iyd.com> root@silcoon.onlineaccess.net <mailto:root@silcoon.onlineaccess.net> root@silcoon.itsyourdomain.com <mailto:root@silcoon.itsyourdomain.com> *@propersupport.com support@propersupport.com <mailto:support@propersupport.com>

The * sign in some of the above email addresses is a "joker", referring to any text before the @.

We fully support the anti-spam measures of all mail servers and ISPs. However, please make sure your mail server or ISP is not accidentally keeping DomainsNow4U information from you.
